A Community Interfaith Carry-In Dinner will take place Monday, September 26, 5:30 p.m., in Cartwright Hall. Rev. Nathan Wilson, senior minister of First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) in Shelbyville, will speak on the place “welcoming the stranger” has in religious traditions and in American civic life, amidst the rhetoric surrounding immigration reform. What do our religious traditions have to say that might provide useful guidance for our country’s policy makers?
