Hazelwood’s Christian Education committee would like to invite you to CUBED. This February, we will be gathering for three weeks, for three reasons. Sunday evenings, February 12, 19, and 26 from 5-7 p.m., we will gather in Cartwright Hall for fellowship, study, and worship. A light snack supper will be provided beginning at 5 p.m. We will then study God’s word, both together and in small groups. There will be opportunities for adults of all ages, as well as our youth. We will then come together for communion service at the end of each evening. Child care will be provided for youth up to 5th grade.
The book we have chosen to base our study on is a great look at the Holy Spirit, and how we might better understand this great gift God has given each of us. The title of the book is “Remembering the Forgotten God,” by Francis Chan. Books can be purchased at the Christian Bookstore in Muncie; through Amazon – $9.00 for Kindle or i-Pad; or you can order one through the church for $10.00. There are also a couple of copies available at the Public Library.
We have all learned that three is a blessed number in the Bible, and we pray it will be a blessed number for each of us as we study God’s word during these three Sundays. We pray this will be a great discussion-based study as we all learn more about the Holy Spirit together.
Please RSVP to the church, either by returning the form in your bulletin, or by calling the church office, no later than Sunday, February 5 so we know how many books we need to order, and how much food to plan for. We hope to see you there.
