“Thanks to all who so generously contributed to ‘Christmas in July,’ sponsored by the Missions and Benevolence committee. A very impressive donation of food and toiletry items were placed under the Christmas tree…which include the following: Hamburger Helper, Tuna Helper, and other pasta box meals, 71; miscellaneous can goods and other items, 37; cereal, 15; deodorant, 9; packs of razors, 4; bars of hand soap, 154; shampoo, 23; rolls of toilet tissue, 274; tooth paste, 62; tooth brushes, 86; diapers, 21 packages that included 699 diapers; baby wipes, 20 containers; formula, 6; combs, 24; miscellaneous health items, 16; for a grand total of 1,500 plus items and $50 in cash. Thanks again for everyone’s help, including the children attending VBS, who contributed a different item each day. God Bless.”
