“My name is Angela Lopez. I have lived in Delaware County all of my life. I have been married to Ken Lopez, a Lieutenant on the Delaware County Sheriff Department, for twenty-eight years. We have two children. Our daughter, Ashley, recently graduated from Indiana Weslyan University in Marion, with a public relations degree. Our son, Seth, is in his second year at Indiana Weslyan University, working on his degree in criminal justice.
“My love of God and children prompted me to begin a career in Early Child Development as a young adult. My passion for teaching and love of children motivated me to implement my own Preschool and Daycare facility twenty years ago. My program was licensed by the State of Indiana with levels 1, 2 & 3 Paths to Quality. Nurturing their growth and development throughout their beginning stages of life inspires me to pursue new challenges. I am a person with vision using God’s direction. I have a CDA (Child Development Associate) from Washington. I was a Children’s Ministry Director for five years; Youth Director for more than ten years; active member of NAEYC (National Association for the Education of Young Children); IAEYC (Indiana Association for the Education of Young Children), and I was recognized at the State House in 1999 by the President of the Indiana Consortium on Professional Development for Educators of Young Children.
“I am honored to be your new Director, and I look forward to getting to know each and every one of you.”
