Church Women United of Delaware County is happy to invite you to a very special meal and program for the whole family on Friday, March 7, at 5:30 p.m. It will be held at First Presbyterian Church, 1400 W. Riverside Ave. The adult cost is $6, elementary kids is $3, and tiny tots are free. Childcare is available upon request. Streams in the Desert is this year’s theme for the World Day of Prayer Celebration, which has been observed each year since 1941, in the United States and many other countries. Each year, a different country asks for prayers worldwide, and shares a story for hearts and minds by the women of that county. This year, it is the women of Egypt who will speak to us.
Last year, we were pleased to have sixteen different church groups represented for the program on France. We hope to encourage more families and churches to attend the Friday evening meal (Egyptian and American) and inspirational program, which includes a slide presentation on Egypt.
