HAZELWOOD PRESCHOOL NOW CCDF CERTIFIED

Hazelwood Christian Preschool is now a Registered Ministry, and CCDF (Child Care Development Fund), Certified!

“What does that mean exactly to Hazelwood Christian Preschool Ministry? Because we are a registered facility, we are recognized by the state of Indiana as a quality care facility (Preschool) for children.  That we are a facility that is not only recognized to be a loving Christian environment with a quality teaching staff, but is safe for the children and families that we serve.  We will be placed on a national data base that shows our quality of care in regards to other Preschool facilities. What does CCDF certified mean to Hazelwood Christian Preschool Ministry? This means we are eligible to accept families that have a financial need.  There are vouchers from the state of Indiana that are available to low income families to send their children to Preschool and to certified Child Care Facilities.  This is very important because, as the legislature is changing regarding Pre-K age children, we may be eligible for funding as it is made available to Ministries.

“To become a Registered Ministry, the process is usually a one-year process.  The CCDF process is usually a two-year process.  We have done both in a matter of 10 months!! This is huge, and all the glory goes to God!   He has been with us every step of the way, guiding us with direction and confidence to achieve such an important goal.  He provided each and everyone of us to work together as a whole, to create something so good for his little ones.

“I am very thankful for all the prayers, hard work and dedication from everyone! I want to especially thank our Preschool Team, Ministerial Staff, Teachers, Housekeeping, Maintenance, Office Staff, Trustees, Church Board and the Congregation for the continued support and love that you have, and continue to show, for our Preschool Ministry.  It is because of you that we are able to bring God’s word and love to so many children and families.”
