LENT AT HAZELWOOD: Ash Wednesday, February 18, is the beginning of the season of Lent. This is a time of reflection and repentance, leading up to Easter. The following is an outline of some of the activities at Hazelwood.
February 15: Youth Inquirers’ Classes will begin. This is for students interested in Baptism. See Rev. James for more information.
February 18: Lent study orientation, 6 p.m., Cartwright Hall.; Worship Service at 7 p.m., Sanctuary, with marking of ashes.
February 19: Lent study begins with Rev. Diane, 10 a.m., and 6 p.m., Sulanke Fellowship House, and continues for six weeks.
March 15: Taters ‘N Talent, 5 p.m., Cartwright Hall. Loaded baked potatoes and talent show.
March 29: Palm Sunday worship.
April 2: Maundy Thursday service, with handwashing, 7 p.m., in Cartwright Hall.
April 4: Easter Egg Hunt, 10 a.m.
April 5: Easter morning worship. One combined service, 10 a.m., with baptisms.
