(1 Corinthians 1:10) I appeal to you, brothers, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that all of you agree with one another so that there may be no divisions among you and that you may be perfectly united in mind and thought.
The Worship Team is grateful for each and every one of you who turned in a worship survey, expressing your opinion concerning our current worship experiences. We had a great response with 84 surveys completed! Using the information that was gathered from your answers and comments, the Worship Team saw that the majority of the church is willing to try a blended worship service, with both Traditional and Celebrate! congregants worshiping God together. We gather to worship God, not because of the service style. The Worship Team, with approval of the Church Board, has decided to try a blended worship service on a trial basis through the summer months, beginning May 31, when we will celebrate the birth of the church, Pentecost. May this new venture with a different worship experience be a re-birth for Hazelwood! Rev. Diane has some sermon series she will be using during this trial period, and at the end, we will once again be asking you for your opinions and comments. Nobody likes change, except for a baby! Change is not easy, but we have to keep our focus off of US and keep it on the LORD! We pray that you will support the blended worship service. Attending for one week will not give you an opportunity to fully appreciate the benefits that we believe will be achieved through this new experience. Let us be united with one another, so that we may be a tool that God can use to reach out to those who need to hear the Good News!
(Ephesians 4:11-13) It was he who gave some to be apostles, some to be prophets, some to be evangelists, and some to be pastors and teachers, to prepare God’s people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God and become mature, attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ.
