In April of this year, the Disciples Regional Board approved for the Outdoor Ministry Team to move programming from Camp Barbee to Geneva Center starting in 2017. To kick off this new partnership with Geneva Center, they are holding a Chalice Relay and Camp Open House on July 30, 2016, and you are invited!
There will be an Open House at Camp Barbee from 9 a.m. – Noon, with worship at 10 a.m., and an Open House at Geneva Camp from 2-4 p.m. A “Chalice Relay” will connect the two events, with runners, walkers, and cyclists carrying a red chalice from our camp home at Barbee to our new home for Outdoor Ministry in northern Indiana. The day will end with worship at Geneva, starting at 4 p.m. We will have communion (with the chalice the relay participants carried), and celebrate a new and exciting partnership.
