Believe it or not, autumn has arrived! Colorful leaves, cool nights, bonfires, and tailgating abound. Unfortunately, so does the flu virus. Luckily, we’re ready to help you fight it!
Hazelwood is teaming up with Walgreens to offer a Flu Shot Clinic in Cartwright Hall from 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m. on Sunday, October 23. Insurance and Medicare will be accepted, so remember to bring your card. Those who are without insurance will receive a voucher to cover the cost, so no one will be left out! Anyone 7 years and older is welcome to participate. For those over 65, the high-dose vaccine recommended by the CDC will be provided.
As an added bonus, Walgreens is currently running their Get a Shot. Give a Shot.® program. This program provides lifesaving vaccines to families in developing countries through the United Nations Foundation’s Shot@Life campaign. If you would like more information, check out their website at Walgreens.com/GetaShot.
To ensure there are enough vaccinations on hand, a sign-up sheet will be available in the Rotunda after worship beginning October 2. If you are unable to sign up after worship, contact Stefanie in the church office.
