For most of us, having a safe, dry, and comfortable place to sleep at night is not a concern. But for many, it is a dream. Habitat for Humanity is in the business of giving a ‘hand up’, not a ‘hand out.’
On Saturday, October 15, from 9 a.m.–3 p.m, we will have the opportunity to be a part of helping someone achieve their dream of owning their own home, or of making their current home more livable, at Hazelwood’s Habitat for Humanity workday. Don’t worry, BSU football fans, there is no home game that day! You do not have to work the whole time. If you can work just the morning or the afternoon, that is fine. And if you don’t feel you can work at the work site, another way to help would be to help provide lunch for the workers that day.
If you’d be interested in helping with the workday, Marianna Gill will be taking names during coffee fellowship in the Rotunda after the service.
Let’s show a family who needs a ‘hand up’ that we are the hands and feet of God.
