World Communion Sunday is an opportunity to experience Holy Communion with the global community of faith. The first Sunday of October has become a time when Christians in every culture break bread and pour the cup to remember and affirm Christ as the Head of the Church. On that day, we remember that we are part of the whole body of believers.
To help make World Communion Sunday at Hazelwood a special event, Ann Wolfe, with the help of Katelyn & Adam Moudy, will be decorating our Sanctuary to reflect cultures throughout the world. We also invite those who may have clothing that reflects another culture to wear that clothing to worship on Sunday. These small details serve to enrich the feeling of a truly global experience.
During our worship service, we will be blessed to hear a presentation from our very own Winnie Muhiga as she shares her experiences from her latest trip to Kenya. With the support of Hazelwood and her friends and colleagues at Ball State, Winnie has had such an amazing impact on the lives of so many in Kenya!
This is sure to be an uplifting worship service, and we hope to see you all there!
