YOUTH SPONSORS
I would like to invite any in our congregation who may have a desire to serve as a Youth Sponsor to contact me. Youth Sponsors play an invaluable part in planning and coordinating our many Youth activities, All-Youth Fellowships, bible studies, fundraisers, Youth Summer Missions Projects, and so much more. As our Youth Ministry grows, it takes many hands and many minds to plan, coordinate, and implement our many activities. Our youth are the future of the church. What better way to shape that future for the better than to invest our time today!
COLLECTIONS FOR YWCA
This Saturday, January 20, several of our youth will be volunteering at the YWCA Women’s Shelter to help clean, sort, and organize donations at the shelter’s store. As a part of their volunteer efforts, the youth will also be collecting items for donation to the YWCA through the end of the month. Items needed include: soap, body wash, razors, deodorant, shampoo, conditioner, lotion, washcloths, towels, toilet paper, paper towels, pillows, coats, hats, scarves, and gloves. All donations are appreciated! There will be a bin in Sulanke Commons to place donations.
CHANGE 4 CHANGE ON SUPER BOWL SUNDAY
Save up your change, and fill your pockets and purses on Sunday, February 4 to help our youth effect change in our community! After the worship service on Super Bowl Sunday, our youth will be holding soup bowls to collect your change to use later in the month for their service project to the homeless in Muncie. What a great excuse to check those couch cushions, coat pockets, and all those other sneaky places change tends to collect! Look for more information about how the youth put your change to use in upcoming editions of the Hazelwood Leaves.
