Thank you so much for your generous donation of $250 to the Whitely Community Council.
As you know, needy families and individuals in our community go without proper food, shelter, and essential medical care every day due to a variety of factors including low wages, job loss, injuries, illness, age, domestic violence, or divorce. While all of us are susceptible to hard times, children and the elderly are at the most risk, and they make up the largest number of the residents we serve.
In 2018 we are raising the funds to renovate over 20,000 sq. ft. of building space at 1208 E. Centennial Ave. for the introduction of a space that will provide a location for many new resources for the community. Some of the possibilities for this location include: educational classrooms, health care, a neighborhood gathering space, art installations, festival locations, food pantry, banquet rooms, and more.”
