$110.38 to purchase shoes for Hearts & Hands United Back-to-School Giveaway
HEART & HANDS UNITED GIVEAWAY
We reached our goal of 50 pair of new, size 5, boy’s/men’s athletic shoes. The congregation donated 42 pair, and 8 pair were purchased from the Sulanke Trust account. Thanks to all who participated and helped to put smiles on many faces as they prepare to begin a new school year.
CHRISTMAS IN JULY UPDATE
Thanks to all who participated in bringing non-perishable items for Christian Ministries’ Food Pantry. A total of over 400 items were donated and included:
- 62 Cans of Fruit
- 56 Misc. Travel-size Hygiene Products
- 55 Boxes of Macaroni & Cheese
- 40 Rolls of Toilet Tissue
- 37 Misc. Food Items
- 25 Misc. Canned Items
- 22 Bars of Soap
- 21 Boxed Dinners
- 18 Cans of Meat
- 16 Boxes of Cereal
- 15 Rice Sides
- 13 Cans of Soup
- 12 Jars of Peanut Butter
- 9 Toothbrushes
- 8 Bottles of Shampoo
- 7 Potato Sides
- 4 Tubes of Toothpaste
Monetary donations totaling $90 were also received, which were used to purchase some of the items listed above.
CHRISTIAN MINISTRIES’ FOOD PANTRY

CROP WALK 2018
When: Sunday, September 23
Time: Walk begins at 2 p.m.
Where: Hazelwood Christian Church
As the host church this year, our goal is to get everyone involved in this annual walk. So mark your calendars now, get your shoes out, and start walking! We will begin recruiting walkers on Sunday, September 2.
