I’m happy to say something I haven’t been able to say over the last several months: “I want to invite you.” In this season when so much has been cancelled, being able to invite someone to something has been a rare thing. In this time of pandemic we’ve had to be very cautious of how we are together, and that has meant our Sunday morning worship has been in an online format. I know though, that we all miss seeing one another. So I want to invite 12 of you at a time, to what I’m calling 12 Disciples Gathering. We’ll set up some chairs outside for 12 of us at a time to just be together. The chairs will be spaced to allow for physical distancing, and we’ll be in the shade of the big trees that are between the church and the old pond area. Wearing masks will be required. We won’t have any agenda for this time; we just want a chance for us to be together for this time of fellowship.
Since attendance is limited to 12, signing up beforehand is required. If you would like to attend one of these, please contact me or the church office to reserve a space. We’ll begin by scheduling two of these gatherings, and after that we can judge the success of them. The gatherings will be on Tuesday, August 25, at 10:30 a.m. & 7 p.m. Let us know if you’d like to be one of the 12 at either of these gatherings. I hope to see 12 of you at a time very soon!
Grace & peace,
Jason Jones
