The Hazelwood Community Garden is planted thanks to Team members Don and Cheryll Crose, Shirley Bookout, and Ann Wolfe. Several varieties of tomatoes as well as sweet corn, peppers, onions, and other vegetables are featured this year. Cucumbers will climb the wire contraption Glen Sulanke installed, and the border of marigolds was added by Shirley. This year our Hazelwood Christian Preschool has a plot for planting the flowers children started in their classrooms. Summer sessions will have the opportunity to watch the red and yellow grape tomato plants grow that we put in for them. Before all the produce gets prolific, please notice the paver cross that Jeff Heavilon restored to grandeur.
