My time here with you at Hazelwood is rapidly moving towards the end. It has been so good to be here again, to see the changes that have happened and to reconnect with so many. I was surprised I remembered so many names, and you, as always, have been so welcoming.
I know you will help Reverend Pamela Pettyjohn find her way as well and welcome her. One of the best ways you can do this is to come to worship so she can meet you face to face and get acquainted.
Another way you might welcome her is to send her a note to say welcome, and tell her a little about yourself. Reverend Pamela’s first Sunday here will be July 18th. I will be preaching, but we will have an opportunity to meet her and will allow some time in the service for her to tell us about herself and her ministry.
You continue to do such good work. I am inspired by your commitment to the many outreach efforts in which you participate and in your creativity in worship. I asked permission to dig up a small start of the coneflowers around the bell in the parking lot. I have many colors of coneflowers in my garden but do not have that particular color. When it blooms each year, I am sure it will remind me of our time together. For you I am most grateful.
Blessings always,
Diane
