This year, Hazelwood is participating in a Habitat for Humanity Interfaith Build on Saturday, July 24. The Interfaith Build brings together congregations in our community from all different backgrounds, as they raise funds and volunteer side-by-side, building affordable homes for families in Muncie.
Anyone who is at least 16 years old* is invited to volunteer on the day of the build, and bringing along friends is encouraged! The work begins at 9 a.m. and goes until 3 p.m. with a lunch break at noon. You will need to wear closed-toe shoes (no sandals or Crocs) and long pants. Masks are required, and COVID-19 policies will be enforced during the build. If you would like to volunteer, please contact Marianna Gill at hccmgill@gmail.com.
Each group that takes part in the Interfaith Build is asked to contribute at least $500 to go towards the cost of the build. If you would like to donate toward the cost of this build, you can place your donation in the offering plate on Sunday morning, or bring it by the church office by July 11. Please make sure you mark on the memo line of your check “Habitat Work Day.”
*Volunteers ages 16-17 will need to have a Minor Consent Form signed by a parent prior to arriving at the site. To receive a copy of this form, please contact Kristin at kfreehill@munciehabitat.org.
