The Elder's Responsibilities

There are twelve Elders elected by the congregation to serve in this important role. The Elders are elected for a three-year term. Four new Elders are elected annually, replacing those members of the Board of Elders who have served three years.
The Board of Elders wants to be certain that all congregation members are aware of who serves as an Elder, and to feel comfortable allowing us to be of service regarding a concern or spiritual need.
Over the next few months, there will be a series of newsletter articles introducing each member of the Board of Elders. Each article will provide information regarding the Elder and will highlight the church activities each is involved in. This will provide each of you an opportunity to get to know each Elder better.
In the service of installation, Elders are asked to promise that they will serve with energy, intelligence, imagination and love. Your twelve Elders have all pledged to fulfill these responsibilities for the upcoming year. Please do not hesitate to seek out any one of the Elders, and to allow us to be of service to you.

Please contact one of the Elders to request a prayer or contact the Church Office (282-5969) and talk to Linette Cook. She will contact an Elder on your behalf and the prayer chain will begin.
